This February, Wildabout partnered with Dinner Ladies for a recent edition of their showcase series, The Urban Fermentarium, hosted at Outernet London. The evening delivered a truly sensory, zero-waste dining experience, where seasonal ingredients, technology and sculptural design took centre stage.

At Wildabout, we care about pushing boundaries. Always. And this latest dinner showcase did exactly that.
A true sensory experience.
Zero-waste philosophy.
Seasonality.
State-of-the-art technology.

Vegetables. Flowers. Sculptural design. Creativity in every detail.

The Urban Fermentarium was more than a dinner. It was a living installation - an exploration of how sustainability and exceptional dining can exist in complete harmony.
Working closely with Dinner Ladies and planner Harriet Russell, our team transformed the space at Outernet into an immersive landscape of floral and vegetable sculptures, layered tablescapes and statement centrepieces. Every detail was considered not only for aesthetic impact, but for environmental responsibility.
From the Dinner Ladies menu, canapés were created using main-dish offcuts - a subtle but powerful reminder that luxury does not require excess. In parallel, we styled a dramatic table runner entirely from next-day produce: vegetables and ingredients that would otherwise have been overlooked, reimagined as sculptural design elements running the length of the table.

This was epicurean display, elevated.
An expression of abundance without waste.
Beauty without compromise.
Creativity without excess.
The Wildabout team approached the design as we would any high-end event or brand activation: with storytelling at the heart.
Vegetables became art forms. Seasonal blooms intertwined with edible elements. Textures were layered to create depth and movement. The tablescape wasn’t simply decorated - it was curated, engineered to draw the eye and invite conversation.

Our sculptural centrepieces combined florals with organic forms, playing with scale and proportion to echo the innovative culinary direction of the evening. Each installation was designed to feel immersive, almost theatrical, yet grounded in natural materials and seasonality.

As guests moved through the space, the design unfolded in chapters - from dramatic focal moments to intimate table details. The aim was to create an environment where the décor enhanced the dining narrative, rather than competing with it.
Sustainability has become a buzzword in the events industry, but at Wildabout, it’s something we take seriously.
For this showcase, every design decision was filtered through a zero-waste lens. Materials were selected carefully. Produce was repurposed. Floral choices reflected seasonal availability. Structural mechanics were designed for reusability.
The result? A space that felt luxurious, abundant and indulgent - yet responsible.

Luxury today is not about excess. It’s about intention. It’s about craftsmanship, creativity and care. And this collaboration proved that sustainability and high-end hospitality can not only coexist - they can elevate one another.

Here’s a glimpse behind the scenes - as the Wildabout team brought the floral tablescape and event décor to life, transforming Outernet London into an immersive dining experience.
From early-morning installations to final finishing touches, every stem and sculptural element was placed with precision. Working alongside:
