The Walpole British Luxury Awards is always a highlight in the Wildabout calendar - a rare moment where the most celebrated names in British craftsmanship, design, and creativity gather under one roof to honour excellence across the industry. This year’s ceremony, hosted at the timelessly grand Dorchester Ballroom, was no exception.

We were deeply honoured to be invited once again to create the floral story for the evening, designing Luxury Award Florals that blended drama, modernity, and quintessential British refinement.
Our brief: to transform the space with striking cobalt-blue installations for the photo moment and stage, balanced by elegant white florals that would bring softness and sophistication to the dinner setting. What unfolded was a contrast of bold colour, architectural form, and serene candlelit textures - a floral narrative that supported the ceremony from red-carpet arrival to the final toast.
Guests were welcomed into the event through a sculptural, fully immersive floral backdrop designed as the evening’s central Photo Moment. This installation celebrated the depth and richness of blue, using layered botanicals to create movement, intensity, and a sense of theatrical drape.

A curated palette of thistle, hydrangea, roses, tweedia, anemone, delphinium, asparagus fern, and amaranthus was combined to build a dynamic gradient of cobalt tones. Tall delphinium spires and amaranthus trails added height and cascade, while textured thistles and delicate tweedia introduced fine detail and tonal variation.

At the base of the wall, we massed plush clouds of blue hydrangea and gypsophila into meadow-like tufts, adding softness and grounding the structure in natural abundance.
This backdrop quickly became one of the most photographed points of the evening - a modern reinterpretation of opulence, designed to complement couture gowns, sharp tailoring, and the refined visual language of the awards.
For the VIP area, we continued the blue story with a series of reflective, sculptural designs built on mirrored plinths. Each piece was asymmetrical and slightly deconstructed, giving the sense that the florals were growing upward in natural, expressive bursts rather than sitting in formal arrangements.

Blue hydrangea, en-massed gypsophila, amaranthus and thistle were nestled into coordinating blue foliage, creating tonal harmony while allowing the individual varieties to shine. The mirrored plinths amplified the effect, catching light from every angle and echoing the movement of guests as they stepped through the space.

Coffee tables were styled with hand-tied bunches in gold vases, each a miniature expression of the wider design scheme. These small, intentional touches pulled the room together, offering texture and beauty up close while maintaining the overall luxury aesthetic.
Inside the Dorchester Ballroom, the visual language shifted from deep blue drama to pure white elegance. Here, the flowers softened, the palette calmed, and candlelight took centre stage to illuminate the dinner experience.
The table florals featured roses, calla lilies, anemone, anthurium, and white amaranthus, chosen for their sculptural forms and serene, contemporary beauty. Each variety brought its own nuance - the fluid lines of calla lilies, the porcelain-like glow of anthurium, the soft ruffle of roses, and the graceful trails of amaranthus that linked everything together.
With 36 tables to dress, we curated three distinct but harmonious designs:
Twelve modern candelabras were draped lightly with strands of white amaranthus, creating height and movement above the tables.

Clusters of single-variety florals in bud vases gathered at their base, adding subtle detail in an understated, modern aesthetic.
Twelve tables featured mixed-sized vases, each holding a single type of flower, allowing the sculptural beauty of each bloom to stand alone.

Off-white tapered candles and tealights added warmth and glow, creating an intimate atmosphere.
The remaining tables showcased layered candle clusters in varying heights and vessels, including off-white pillars, tapered candles, and low tealights. The effect was a pool of glowing light in the centre of each table - elegant, serene, and endlessly flattering.

Together, these options created a cohesive yet varied visual landscape across the ballroom, united by tone, texture, and the soft luminosity of white blooms.
The Walpole British Luxury Awards celebrates those who champion British excellence - and we are privileged to support the ceremony with florals that reflect that same dedication to artistry and detail.

This year’s Luxury Award Florals blended bold colour storytelling with considered modern design, making the space not only beautiful but deeply atmospheric.
From the cobalt-blue drama of the entrance installation to the refined tranquillity of the dinner tables, every floral moment was crafted to enhance the experience, honour the winners, and create an unforgettable visual identity for the night.
We are grateful to Walpole for inviting us back, and to The Dorchester for hosting such a spectacular evening. Until next year, we’ll be dreaming in blue and white.
