This Halloween, we had the pleasure of bringing a little dark romance to one of London’s most atmospheric venues , 14 Cavendish W1. For an intimate, candlelit dinner designed by Gen Z Events, we created a floral story that was luxurious, dramatic, and beautifully haunting.

Our vision was to evoke the feeling of a secret dinner party in a Georgian mansion,  a night rich with texture, candlelight, and deep, indulgent tones. Using a palette of burgundy, oxblood, crimson, and blackened foliage, our florals set the stage for an evening that was equal parts mysterious and elegant.

The Venue: 14 Cavendish W1

If you’ve ever stepped inside 14 Cavendish, you’ll understand why we love working there. Built in 1770, this 18th-century Palladian mansion sits on the north side of Cavendish Square and provides a breathtaking backdrop for creative, fashion, and luxury events.

Each of its five storeys reveals a balance of grandeur and raw beauty, peeling plaster, unpainted shutters, and exposed Georgian details that tell stories of centuries past. Against this naturally textured canvas, our florals became part of the architecture,  softening and enhancing the space while keeping its soulful patina intact.

We’re always mindful of how our work interacts with its surroundings, and at 14 Cavendish, the key was restraint. The space already speaks volumes. Our role was to amplify its atmosphere, to make the evening feel immersive, elegant, and a little bit haunting.

The Florals: Deep, Dramatic, and Decadent

For this Halloween soirée, we avoided the obvious and embraced a mood of “vampire chic” meets candlelit couture. Our table designs featured sculptural blooms in velvety reds and moody purples, layered with rich greenery and soft candlelight that danced across the room.

The arrangements were intentionally abundant yet fluid,  the kind of design that draws you in rather than overwhelms. Every element, from the petal choice to the table flow, was curated to feel alive within the flicker of the candles.

A Collaboration in Atmosphere

Working alongside Gen Z Events, who curated every detail of the evening, and photographer Sam Lort, who captured it so beautifully, we were able to create something truly special, an intimate, immersive experience that celebrated both design and emotion.

At Wildabout, we see floristry as more than decoration; it’s transformation. Whether it’s a candlelit dinner, a high-fashion party, or a brand activation, we design florals that evoke feeling and tell a story.

Why We Love Projects Like This

Our work spans from luxury weddings at Six Senses Ibiza to corporate installations for London’s most prestigious venues, but evenings like this one remind us why we began: to use flowers to create moments that stay with people.

Every event has its own rhythm,  its own light, texture, and energy. Our role is to listen, interpret, and design florals that make people stop, look, and feel.

Because in the right hands, flowers don’t just decorate a room, they define it.
